On January 30, 2009, the U.S.
Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a one-year stay of
enforcement for certain testing and certification requirements for
manufacturers and importers of regulated products, including
products intended for children 12 years old and younger. These
requirements are part of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement
Act (CPSIA), which added certification and testing requirements
for all products subject to CPSC standards or bans. The stay did
not however change the requirement that children's products meet
lead content and phthalates limitations.
The ERGO Baby Carrier and related
ERGObaby products fully comply with all of the requirements and
limitations of the CPSIA, and undergo regular testing to insure
that our products meet or exceed all applicable government
regulations and industry standards to insure the safety of our
customers and the children entrusted to us.
